The P G Department of Management Studies & Research Centre had organized an Industrial Visit as a part of enhancing the practical exposure to real time management practices to the students of II Semester MBA on 18.02.2016 to PAMS Engineering Ltd and Ranga Rao & Sons & Co Ltd (Cycle Pure Agarbattis), Mysore.
The tour started from Shivamogga on 17th Feb. 2016 at 11.00 pm from PESITM College and reached Mysore on 18th Feb at 5.30 am.
The troop reached at N.Ranga Rao & sons Pvt Limited Plant at 10.30. am. The company has the ambassador of Indians aroma traditions, successfully exports incense and related products to more than 50 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Far East and North America. It tops off this achievement with a large number of prestigious awards for excellence in international business to its credit as well as a winning streak with the Government of India Export Award in the incense category. The session was started with introduction to the company, Qualty aspects and later on this occasion Managing Partner of the company Mr. Arjun Ranga has addressed students to incorporate various skills and be committed to goals.
Then the troop reached PAMS Engineering Ltd factory at 2.30 pm, the batch was divided into three and each batch was headed by a guide and was allowed inside at 2.30 pm. To 4.00 pm.PAMS Engineering Ltd is the small and medium scale manufacturing plant located in the calm, sylvan surroundings of the historic Mysore City, India. PAMS Engineering began its quest for perfection in 1974 opting for precision turned components for the engineering industry.
On the next day, the students and faculty members visited GRS Fantasy Park for refreshment.
The visit to PAMS Engineering Ltd and N.Ranga Rao & sons was one life time experience for the students, where the students had a ground zero experience on the manufacturing process, quality standards that were followed in the factory and also the innovative concept of procurement, processing, production, packing and dispatching, which gave the practical knowledge to the students.
The Students were interactive and studious by probing lot of questions on this visit, all those were answered by the company personnel very patiently. Faculty members Mr. Gururaj Shet, Mr. Sharath Ambrose and Ms. Momintaj accompanied II Sem MBA students.
