Final year students of Mechanical Engineering Dept. Visited Indian machine tool exhibition IMTEX -2017 on 30th January 2017. About 35 students were visited along with Shashi Kumar HOD ME and Madhu Kumar N lecturer. They have visited Casting, Molding, pouring, Fitting, Machining section, CNC machines, Advanced cutting tools and gain good knowledge about all the manufacturing activities.
On 21st September 2017 the parents meeting has been conducted in the CS department. Our Honorable Principal Prof. M H Chandrappa sir presided the meeting. Discussions were made with the parents regarding the student’s performance in internals and unit tests.
On 15th September 2017, we all gathered to commemorate the birthday of Bharat Ratna Sir M Visvesvaraya which is celebrated as Engineer’s Day all over India. On this occasion Professor M H Chandrappa, Principal, PESPT was the president, Dr M N Hiremath, HOD of civil department, PESITM, Dr Girish, Vice Principal, PESPT were present as chief guest and Arun rangappa, HOD of civil department, PESPT was in this occasion. The program had begun with the traditional lamp lightening ceremony carried by the honorable dignitaries on the dais. And on this auspicious day Dr M N Hiremath gave us words of wisdom and the importance of celebrating the birthday of legendary Dr. M. Visvesvaraya. And principal professor M H Chandrappa delivered the presidential address. Further the function was followed by token of appreciation to the toppers of previous semesters by Arun rangappa.
On 6th October 2017, Mr. Abhishik K.A. (PLC programmer) and Dayananda g.p. (calibration engineer) conducted a technical seminar for the 5th semester students of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, to imparting knowledge and skills to the students.
Faculty Development Programme has been conducted in PES Polytechnic on dated 02-03-2017 between 2-5pm at Jindal Block of PES Campus. In this auspicious occasion, Dr.Jagadeesh S N, Prof of CSE, PESITM was the resource person who conducted programme on train the trainer. In this event Dr.Ashok Kumar, HOD, Dept of ME, PESITM and our honorable principal Prof. M H Chandrappa and Dr. Girish L Vice principal, PESPT were present inspite of their busy schedule. Dr. Jagadeesh S N briefly delivered the history about establishment of polytechnic colleges in india since 1947, opportunities for polytechnic student, roles and responsibilities of a Lecturer, difficulties faced by polytechnic students and solutions for them, frequent industrial/company visits to enhance the practical knowledge of the students and motivated the faculties to work with perseverance and patience. After this session Dr. Ashok Kumar shared their views and thoughts by suggesting the roles of lecturers. At last Prof. M H Chandrappa shared his experiences in teaching field.
The Faculty Development program has been conducted in PES Polytechnic on dated 18/03/2017 between 2 to 5 PM at Zindal block of PES campus. In this auspicious occasion Dr.Nagaraj R, HOD, MBA dept, PESITM was the resource person who conducted FDP on Writing Research Papers. In this event, Prof M H Chandrappa, Principal, PESPT and Dr. Girish L, Vice Principal, PESPT were present. Dr.Nagaraj R briefly delivered about writing research paper, how to select the topics and how to enhance the knowledge in respective papers. He also stressed the importance of language and way of writing before submitting it to the journals. In this occasion Prof.M H Chandrappa welcomed the gathering and shared some of his personal views and experiences regarding research papers.
The Faculty Development Program has been conducted in PES polytechnic on dated 25/03/2017 between 2 to 5 PM at Zindal block of PES campus. In this auspicious occasion Dr.S F Kodad, HOD, Dept of Electrical & Electronics Engg, PESITM was the resource person who conducted program on Traditional Teaching Methodologies. In this event, Prof. M H Chandrappa, Principal, PESPT and Dr.Girish L, Vice principal, PESPT were present. Dr.S F Kodad briefly delivered about the implementation of both traditional methodologies of teaching with modern way of teaching to get better results and he stressed the faculties to categorize the students into 3 divisions and give prior importance to the students on the basis of their performance and merits. He also guided the faculties to motivate the students for attending classes and concentrating more on syllabus.
