Faculty Development Programme has been conducted in PES Polytechnic on dated 02-03-2017 between 2-5pm at Jindal Block of PES Campus. In this auspicious occasion, Dr.Jagadeesh S N, Prof of CSE, PESITM was the resource person who conducted programme on train the trainer. In this event Dr.Ashok Kumar, HOD, Dept of ME, PESITM and our honorable principal Prof. M H Chandrappa and Dr. Girish L Vice principal, PESPT were present inspite of their busy schedule. Dr. Jagadeesh S N briefly delivered the history about establishment of polytechnic colleges in india since 1947, opportunities for polytechnic student, roles and responsibilities of a Lecturer, difficulties faced by polytechnic students and solutions for them, frequent industrial/company visits to enhance the practical knowledge of the students and motivated the faculties to work with perseverance and patience. After this session Dr. Ashok Kumar shared their views and thoughts by suggesting the roles of lecturers. At last Prof. M H Chandrappa shared his experiences in teaching field.
Annual Day of PESPT was celebrated on April 3rd 2016 in Main Seminar Hall. Mr. Ramesh, Environmental Officer, Shivamogga was the Chief Guest. Smt. Arunadevi S. Y., Joint Secretary, PES Trust presided over the function. Mr. Chandrappa M. N., Principal, PESPT and Dr. Nagaraja R, CCA, PES Trust were present on this occasion.

The following students of the Electrical and Electronics department are selected for the training programme by dbson UNIVERSAL POWER CONTROLS Tumkur. 6 days of training will be provided on electrical basics, switch gears and their applications.
Technical talk by Dr. S R Ashok, HOD department of mechanical engineering PESITM regarding the project awareness on 6th January, 2015 at seminar hall. He was introduced by Mr. Prasad vice-principal PESPT. The talk includes how to select a project, how to conceive a project, scope of a project, Consequence related to the projects, thinking skills by the projects, certain example of the project related to various field such as thermal, production, design. He was also discussed about writing a project report. On behalf of the mechanical department Mr. shashi kumar HOD and Santhosha P lecturer were presented.
On 1st Oct. 2014, Ayudha pooja & Saraswathi pooja were organized in the Departmental laboratory i.e. Surveying & Hydraulics lab.
On 15th Sept. 2014, Celebration of Sir. M Visveswaraya’s Birthday as the Engineer’s Day which is an important day for the engineering students. On that day Dept. of civil engineering has organized the formal function which took place in the seminar hall of PESPT. Where the resource person has been invited to the function who has worked as resource person in the industrial sector as well as presently working in teaching field Mr. Meghachandra, Asst. Prof. & HOD Dept. of Metallurgical Engineering PESPT. And the function has been presiding by Prof. M H Chandrappa Principal, PESPT. & all HOD’s of PESPT. A competition has been organized by the Department for the students to improve their technical knowledge such as Quick Surveying, Debate, Drawing competitions and the prizes has been honored to the students. A small presentation has been conducted about the profile & professional life of Sir. M Visveswaraya by the final year students of Civil Engineering.
On 5th Sept. 2014, Teacher’s day has been celebrated by the students of Dept. of Civil Engineering and a small formal function has been organized to know the personality of Dr.S Radhakrishnan and his achievements towards the students and the role of the teachers to the society. And few competitions have been organized for teachers and staffs by students.
