On 14th March, 2014 Canara bank organized the Symposium to the PES MBA and M.Com students with reference to Mobile Banking, Net Banking, Online a/c opening, e-pass book, and Financial planning.
The Symposium was organized to train students of MBA and M.Com about the importance of online banking transactions, its usage and tools available to operate in an effective manner. They emphasized advantages of using Mobile Banking anywhere using mobile and also shown the demo on Net banking, opening account online and e-pass book. They advised the students to use security tools, help tools and password security tips, which are available on online for the security purposes.
Later the students were given on-the-job training at six branches of Canara bank by the officers who trained the students about marketing and sales of banking products such as A/C opening, health insurance, EPF, customer service and process. On the evening session Mr. Manju Kiran, Canara HSBC Life insurance and Mr. Muralidhar Shenoy, Canara Robecco advised students to make financial planning by investing in Mutual fund, Insurance, FDs, and RDs and also grab the job opportunity in the Banking sector.
The training was well received by the students and they shall prefer to use Net banking and Mobile banking in their future banking transactions.
On this occasion Mr. A K Sahu, DGM, Mr. M M Chiniwar, DGM, Mr. Hare Ram, Divisional Manager, Mr. Ramesh, Officer, Mr. Deepak Naragund, Manager, Mr. Prasanna Kumar, Officer, all from Canara Bank and Mr. Arun Kumar D C, Mr. P Chandrashekar, Mr. Gururaj Shet, Asst. Professors PESITM and PES MBA and M.Com students were present.
