On 19th August 2022, department of chemistry organised a exhibition on student activities in chemistry laboratory, under the banner of IIC (Institute Innovation Cell) whose chief guest was Prof. Chaitanya Kumar M V Principal PESITM, Shivamogga. The main aim of the exhibition was to provide a platform to students to know the importance of science and technology. The major focus was on battery technology and applications of solar energy, so that the students could figure out what they want to do in future, if they were to choose these as career options.
The exhibition opened student eyes towards the fact that, technology is making it a better place for them. It also made them aware of how sometimes the evolving technology can help those who worked really hard to earn their pay. The technology and manpower should walk along each other.
First year C cycle students showcased their activities and our principal was personally present there to give them positive feedback and to motivate them to do better. Some of the students made a model of sewage water treatment, applications of solar cells, salt water battery and water quality checker. It was an amazing experience that improved the student knowledge and skills.
