The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), government of India has launched the program of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), a national program with the vision to involve the professional and other higher educational institution of the country in the development process of Gram Panchayats, so as to enable village clusters to achieve sustainable development and better quality of life. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an Inclusive India. Under UBA program, house hold survey is a participatory method to gather/ collect information by involvement of Rural/local communities for decision making and implementation of the development project, “for the Rural community, by the Rural community and with the Rural Community”. It is a process to involve the community in planning and decision making. Community develops their won skills needed to address issues, analyze options and carry out activities. Participatory decision making reflects respect for human dignity and creating the opportunity for individuals to fulfill their responsibility to exercise the right. PES Institute of Technology and Management has registered under UBA on 26th September 2018 with AISHE CODE: C-1358. Under UBA program our college adopted five villages: Santhe Kadur, Kadekal, Bidare, Gajanur, Harnahalli. MHRD funded 50000 rupees for house hold survey for these. Dr. C M Sharanaprabhu, professor, Mechanical Engineering Department is the Coordinator for this program.

- To obtain the information related to present and previous scenario of the villages.
- To find out the basic issues related to the basic infrastructure and amenities.
- Spatial mapping of the information issues.
- Best possible solution based on this survey and to get feedback on this
