Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering conducted anonline webinar on“Opportunities Through Gate Exams and its Preparation Strategy ” on 16/11/2022, from 02.30 pm – 3.30pm, for final and Pre final year studentsviaonline i.e., Zoom platform.
The online program was graced by the presence of Dr. Chaitanya Kumar MV, Principal. The program started with a welcome note by Dr. Om PrakashYadav, HoD, Dept., of EEE..The resource persons were Mr.B.Surendra Reddy and Mr.K.N.SHemanth fromOhm Institute, Hyderabad.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering ( GATE Exam ) sets a benchmark for the engineers as it tests the comprehensive understanding of the students in various engineering concepts. GATE is a national level examination to examine the caliber of the engineering students in their specific domains.
GATE Exam is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technologies, namely, Roorkee, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Bombay on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.
The opportunities engineers get after qualifying for GATE are endless hence GATE Exam is important for engineering students.
Students can use their GATE Exam Score to seek admission for M.E./M.Tech / PhD from the top colleges of the country which include 23 IITs, 31 NITs, and other reputed colleges like IISc Bangalore, IIITs, BITS Pilani and VIT Vellore.
Students can fulfill their dreams of getting into IISc/IITs/NITs by clearing the GATE Exam and later can pursue exciting career options in one of the top product-based companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft and DE Shaw in engineering and research roles. Some management institutes like NITIE, Mumbai, offer admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering based on the GATE score.
