OBJECTIVE OF METALLURGICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

The department was established on 2013 and has present intake of 45.The Department of Metallurgical Engineering has an objective to impart education and training in Metallurgical Engineering. Starting with basic subjects, students are taught application oriented courses. The curriculum includes advanced topics in Metallurgy Engineering. The Department has an excellent academic atmosphere with qualified and motivated young faculty and hardworking staff. The Department forum regularly conducts technical talks, workshops, industrial tours and visits for the benefit of students.

To develop a program with excellence in teaching, learning to produce globally compatible metallurgical technologists with ethical values as per the need of stake holders.

The mission of the Metallurgical Engineering Program is
M1: Impart quality education through competitive curriculum and by providing required infrastructure facilities to meet the needs of profession and society, and achieve excellence in teaching-learning.
M2: Attract and develop talented and committed human resource, and provide an environment conducive to innovation, creativity, team- spirit and entrepreneurial leadership.

A foundry is a factory that produces metal castings. Metals are cast into shapes by melting them into a liquid, pouring the metal into a mold, and removing the mold material after the metal has solidified as it cools. The most common metals processed are aluminium and cast iron.
Materials testing is a respected and established technique which is used to ascertain both the physical and mechanical properties of raw materials and components. It can be used to examine almost anything from human hair to steel, ceramics or composite materials.
