About PES PUC college
Pre-University Education is a crucial and decisive phase in every student’s life. PU education is a window which opens to the world of opportunities. PES PUC is an ambitious endeavor of Prerana Educational & Social Trust(R), Shivamogga to cater for the needs of the Pre-university students and provide them access to the best available facilities in the Malnad region. The college offers Science and Commerce combinations. Apart from the regular curriculum prescribed by the Dept. of Pre-university Education, the college focuses on competitive exams and career-oriented training. College gives exposure to Tally, CA Foundation Course and Basic Computer to the Commerce students to ease their professional prospects.
The college is equipped with excellent infrastructure. It has a state-of-the-art building, spacious Classrooms, a resourceful library, updated Science laboratories and also a language lab. It has an air-conditioned auditorium with 3000 seating capacity, specialized playgrounds, hostels and an excellent transportation facility.
PES PUC provides the platform with the right ambience and dedicated teachers to enhance one’s skills and abilities. PES PUC is training the students for future shaping competitive exams like NEET/JEE KCET/COMEDK. The college provides exposure to KVPY, NISER, and IISER etc. Blended Education (Online and Offline) system is a novel concept developed by PES PUC. Besides this, regular online classes are being conducted effectively. Online tests/Examinations are conducted for the students and assessed through Google Classroom and WhatsApp.
The college offers free education for meritorious students. We also have experienced faculties from Bangalore and Shivamogga have conducted the bridge course through Google Meet. All the online programs are available on social media. The regular faculty members, expert resource persons are invited from different parts of the state to guide our students for both PUE board and competitive exams.

PES PUC, Shimoga was established in the year 2009 under the inspiring leadership of Dr Doreswamy M.R. who is the Chairman of the premier PES Group of Institutions. With the successful legacy set by the front-running institution of PES in Bangalore, PES PUC, Shimoga has been groomed by the efficient value system derived through rich experience in the education sector of the intellectuals within the PES Group.
