World Environment Day is observed by the United Nations family and by communities across the globe every year to create  awareness about the importance of the environment in our lives. It is the time to reflect, not just about the challenges we face, but on the many initiatives, small and large, that people under take the world over to make sure that the world becomes a better, safer, more equitable place for mankind to live a peaceful life.

On the occasion of World Environment Day various activities such as planting saplings and Shramadhan were held in college on 30/07/2018. Principal of PESIAMS Dr. K. Sailatha presided over the function and inspired the students to work collectively for the protection of Earth and emphasized on the need to build a greener world, the objective of celebrating Environment Day was to sensitize the younger generation more sensitive towards environmental protection.
