From 20th to 22nd August 2024, the Department of Physics and IQAC, PESIAMS, in association with Varnaaz and Tare Zameen Par (ISRO’s Official Space Tutor), organized a three-day Digital Mobile Planetarium Show at Prerana Convention Hall, PES Campus. The event featured 31 immersive shows, benefiting 1,415 students from middle schools to PU colleges in Shivamogga. A science corner showcased telescopes, allowing students to explore optical resolution and magnification.

Bachelor of Science programs that combine Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Computer Science offer a solid foundation in both fundamental and applied sciences. Established in 2019, the Department of Science initially launched a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) program focused on Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science (PMCs). Affiliated with Kuvempu University, Shivamogga, the department ensures alignment with state educational standards. To adapt to evolving industry trends and broaden academic offerings, the curriculum was later expanded to include Chemistry, providing students with a comprehensive and well-rounded foundation across key scientific disciplines. The program integrates traditional scientific fields with exposure to emerging technologies, preparing students for successful careers in industry, research and advanced technology sectors.
