A Seven day Annual Special Camp has been organized at Umblebailu by NSS unit of PESIAMS from 17th of March to 23rd of March. The theme of the camp is ‘Youth for Science and Scientific Attitude’.

The camp will be inaugurated by Smt. Arunadevi S Y Trustee, PES Trust, Shivamogga. Dr. Kundan Basavaraj, Co-Ordinator, NSS, Kuvempu University and Smt. Hemavathi Shivananjappa, Member, Zilla Panchayath, Shivamogga are the guests.

On each day of the camp, socially useful and relevant programmes to help and guide the villagers have been proposed. Expert speakers from different fields like veterinary science, environment, agriculture and law address villagers and students. The highlight of NSS camp is not only to create awareness to the villagers on these areas, but also to enlighten them with regard to use of Digital media and cashless transactions.

The Volunteers will take up the cleaning work of village under Swatch Gram Andolan and educate the villagers regarding the same. Students also present cultural programmes to the villagers in the evening. The camp will come to a close with a valedictory function. Dr. Nagaraja R, CCA, PES Trust will be the Chief Guest.

The Principal of the college will direct this camp. The camp will be held under the leadership of Mr. Mohan D, Co-Ordinator of NSS Unit.
