BBA at PES Institute of Advanced Management Studies (PESIAMS) affiliated to Kuvempu University, Shivamogga was started from the academic year 2008-09. The Dept. of Management Studies has already made its presence felt in the state of Karnataka, taking a great leap, moving ahead of many other institutions under Kuvempu University in its results, placement and is known for excellent education delivery system in Business administration.

Modern Teaching methods in practice apart from lecture method, group discussion, presentation, case method, video lessons, seminars, management games and interactive teaching methods are being used. Participation of teachers in academic and personal counseling of students. All teachers are actively involved in personal counseling and mentoring of the students. During the last three years, the Department has organized a number of seminars for the benefit of students. Apart from teaching the members of faculty are also involved in research, conduct of orientation programmes, central valuation etc. Students are continuously assessed throughout the semester. It is compulsory for each student to write assignments, to give Skill Development Records in each semester and also take part in the group discussion. Further, internal tests on all subjects, in each semester, are conducted. Students take part in the Management Festivals organized by the reputed institutes in the country and on several occasions they have secured prizes too.
