The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in association with IEEE student chapter and IETE student forum has organized National level one day workshop on “Gateway to career Opportunities in Public Sector Undertakings through Gate-2024”  in blended mode. The speaker for the talk was Sri. Vidyadhar S Salimath, Ex General Manager, ONGC, Mumbai, and Convener, Expert Committee, The Institution Engineers (India), KSC, Bangalore.

 

The program started with the welcome address by the convener of the event Dr.Om Prakash Yadav, Professor, and Head, EEE dept. The Guest introduction was given by Ms.Srinitha of 8th semester, and the objectives of the program were explained by Dr. Chaitanya Kumar M V, Principal. Ms. Likitha of 8th semester hosted the event, the session is then handed over to the speaker to share his thoughts with our students. Dr.Rudresh SJ, Associate professor of EEE department proposed a vote of thanks at the end of program.

There are many opportunities after GATE exam that a candidate can choose from. A qualified candidate has a big window of career opportunities after the exam. GATE 2024 Examination will test the understanding of various undergraduate topics such as Engineering, Technology, Architecture, and undergraduate/post-graduate level subjects of Science, Commerce, and Arts. GATE Qualified candidate can be recruited under the private sector as well as many public sector units, and is eligible for many fellowship programs, management programs, Ph. D. and get the opportunity to study in top colleges of India or abroad. As much as candidates might be pleased to know that there are so many opportunities after the GATE exam available for them to choose from, careful consideration should be given to every option to make a choice that suits their career path the best.

Out of 126 online registrations, participants were from Karnataka and other states like Andra Pradesh, Maharastra etc. attended the event through Google meet in online mode, and 57 students from 8th and 6th semester have the attended the event in offline mode.
