PESITM IQAC

The PESITM has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (PESITM_IQAC) to monitor and enhance the quality of curriculum development. PESITM_IQAC focuses on improving the overall performance of the institute. It acknowledges the importance of higher education in fostering creativity and innovation for socioeconomic development. The establishment of an IQAC by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is seen as a step towards formalizing quality assurance mechanisms in higher education institutions. Quality assurance activities extend beyond data collection to analysis for enhancing quality, ensuring accountability, and building stakeholder confidence. The process of quality enhancement through quality assurance is viewed as continuous and integral to the functioning of PESITM.

Objectives of the IQAC

  • Setting quality benchmarks consistently on an annual basis.
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation, enabling them to adopt the necessary knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning processes.
  • Establishing parameters to achieve both academic and non-academic learning goals annually.
  • Collecting and considering stakeholder feedback for identifying best practices on an annual basis.
  • Organizing a minimum of two events per year to foster a quality education environment.
  • Documenting various programs and activities aimed at improving quality.
  • Acting as the nodal agency of the institution to coordinate quality-related activities, including the adoption and dissemination of best practices. Developing and maintaining an institutional database through a Management Information System to enhance institutional quality, on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Preparing and submitting the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per NAAC instructions, which is one of the most important tasks.
  • Conducting meetings with working committee members at least twice per semester and with the executive committee once per year.

Our pursuit of knowledge and mastery in the fields of engineering and management is not merely about acquiring degrees—it's about honing a mindset, a skill set, and an attitude that prepares each of us for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow's world. In an era where technology evolves rapidly, and business landscapes transform incessantly, our emphasis on holistic education becomes all the more vital.

To our aspiring engineers and future business leaders: Remember, education is not solely confined within classroom walls. It extends to the realms of curiosity, experimentation, and perseverance. Embrace challenges as stepping stones, and failures as lessons that propel you forward. The fusion of theoretical knowledge with practical wisdom will be your beacon in navigating the complexities of this dynamic world.

As Professor of Computer Science, I often find solace in the world of coding— a place where persistence is vital. Much like in life, debugging errors in code teaches us the importance of patience and precision. Similarly, every setback we face in learning brings us closer to discoveries and new ideas.

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts." – Winston Churchill

Let us uphold a culture where innovation thrives, where ideas are celebrated, and where each individual's potential is nurtured. Together, let us shape a future where our knowledge transcends boundaries and transforms lives.

I invite you all to join hands in our mission to cultivate not just professionals, but visionary leaders who will shape a world of boundless possibilities.

Best wishes,
Dr. Yuvaraju B N
Principal, PES Institute of Technology and Management

Best Practices

Strategic Employability Skills Training by Industry Experts:

We are dedicated to providing students with rigorous employability skills training delivered by seasoned industry professionals. This ensures that each graduate not only possesses the requisite technical and general aptitude but also embodies the attitudes sought after by prospective employers. Within our academic framework, specific time slots are allocated for industry experts to impart specialized training tailored to meet the demands of campus hiring. This training is meticulously integrated throughout the course curriculum, starting from the initial semester and culminating just before the onset of campus recruitment drives in the final year.

Exclusive Online Assessment Portal (OAP) for Enhanced Placement Assistance:

In our commitment to streamlining the placement process, we have introduced the Online Assessment Portal (OAP), an exclusive platform designed to provide comprehensive placement assistance. Through the OAP, graduates gain access to industry-specific tests, enabling them to assess their individual competencies before each campus recruitment event. Moreover, the portal serves as a personalized space for graduates to manage their skill profiles based on specific eligibility criteria, empowering them to proactively prepare for upcoming recruitment opportunities. At the outset of their academic journey, each student is provided with personalized OAP access and login credentials, ensuring seamless integration into this invaluable resource.
