Admission Procedure for UG

PESITM is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and recognized by the Government of Karnataka.


Eligibility:

  • Students who have passed PUC/10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects Chemistry /Computer Science / Electronics/ Biotechnology / Biology, with at least 45% of marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category as per Government order) in the above subjects taken together.
  • For admission under management quota, students should compulsorily appeared in CET/COMEDK/JEE or any other entrance test for professional program.

CET Quota (45% of sanctioned intake)

  • The Government of Karnataka conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) through Karnataka Examination Authority. This entrance exam is a gateway to get engineering seats in Government quota. The CET conducts the examination in for four subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Candidates who want to get admission in Engineering courses appear for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics exams. As per the CET ranking students can select the college at the time of CET counseling.

COMED-K Quota (30% of sanctioned intake)
COLLEGE CODE:E090

  • The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association namely "Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka" COMEDK also conducts entrance examination for all students irrespective of state. The students have an option to select the college of their choice during counseling of comed-K. COMEDK entrance test & publication of test score and rank list will be followed by centralized counseling.

Management Quota (25% of sanctioned intake)

Selections will be made in accordance with the Government regulations prevailing at the time of admission. Successful candidates will have to get themselves admitted immediately depending on the seat availability.

Lateral Entry To 3rd Semester For Diploma / B.SC. Students (10% of sanctioned intake)

    Eligibility Criteria:

  • No candidate shall be eligible for admission to Government Seats unless he is a citizen of India and satisfies eligibility conditions. He/she should have appeared for DCET examination.
  • Each condition is specified as a clause and is individually referred by a code. The documents to be produced during verification of documents in support of the claim for each of the Clauses.
  • The candidates who do not satisfy any of the Clauses / Eligibility Criteria and the candidates who do not produce the prescribed documents in original will not be eligible for admission to professional courses under Government quota seats.
  • Other than the certificate mentioned in clauses, if a candidate claiming seat under Article 371 (j) Hyderabad-Karnataka region reservation, candidate should produce eligibility certificate from the concerned Assistant Commissioner in Annexure-A as per the format.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION:-

  • CET/COMED-K admission order(For CET/COMED-K Quota).
  • CET/COMED-K hall-ticket and Rank sheet(For Management Quota).
  • 10th standard marks card for proof of date of birth - Original + 2 attested photocopies.
  • 12th standard/ equivalent marks card - Original + 2 attested photocopies.
  • Transfer certificate from the institution last attended - Original + 2 attested photocopies.
  • Migration Certificate from the University/Board last studied (for students other than from Karnataka PU Board, CBSE and ICSE) - Original + 3 photocopies.
  • Passport Size Photographs with white background - 10 numbers.
  • Caste cum Income Certificate (for CET and Karnataka Management Students).
  • Seven years study certificate.
  • A copy of the students’ account details ( if availing for scholarship offered by various Govt. bodies and private organizations ).
  • Photocopy of Aadhar card-2 numbers.
