The Women Empowerment Cell in association with the Department of Civil Engineering PESITM, Shivamogga recently celebrated the “World Environment Day” by sapling plants at the campus in the presence of Dr Nagaraja R, CCA, PES Trust, Dr Yuvaraju B N, Principal PESITM, HODs  Staffs and students of various departments. The event aimed to create awareness and encourage action to protect our environment.

Besides this, a talk was organised by Mrs.Vanishree Sagar-Prathibha Krishi Mahele an award winner from Sagar on the topic "Our Land Our Future".She briefed the students about Land restoration and the causes of desertification. She also highlighted the opportunities available as an Entrepreneur by using agricultural products.
