The Department of Mechanical Engineering hosted an Exposure Visit to the industry M/s Sahyadri Polymers, Shivamogga on 26th November 2024 as part of the BIS Standard Club (SC-10724) activities at PESITM Shivamogga. A total of 35 students actively participated in the visit, learning about the importance of standardization in industry practices. The Exposure Visit was led by Mr. Koushik P K, Mentor of the BIS Standard Club (SC-10724),Dr. Girisha L, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Mr. Raghavendra T R, Instructor.

This event was arranged in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Hubli Branch Office, under their initiative to organize industry visits for Standard Club members. The second-year Mechanical Engineering students participated in the event, gaining valuable insights into industrial processes and the application of BIS standards in manufacturing.

Sri Narayan Shanbog, Director of M/s Sahyadri Polymers provided an in-depth explanation of the entire plant and its processes, making the experience highly educational and engaging for the students.
