The Department of Mathematics conducted a One-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on โ€œEmerging Trends and Sustainable Applications in Engineering Mathematicsโ€ on 9th September 2025. 


The Chief Guests for the event were Dr. Pradeep C. R. (MSc at IIT Kharagpur & Ph.D IIT Bombay), Professor, Department of Mathematics, Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology, Gubbi, Tumkur, and Prof. Sharayu Pradeep (M. Stat at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata), Department of Mathematics,Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology, Gubbi, Tumkur. 


The FDP provided an insightful session on diverse topics like polar curves in robotics and satellite launching, multivariate calculus in heat and mass transfer with applications in machine learning, and linear algebra in Digital Signal Processing.


 The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guests Dr. Pradeep C. R., Professor, Department of Mathematics, Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology, Gubbi, Tumkur, and Prof. Sharayu Pradeep, Department of Mathematics, Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology, Gubbi, Tumkur, along with Dr. Swamy D. R., Principal, PESITM, Dr. R. Sekar, Vice Principal, PESITM, Dr. Aveesh S. T., Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics, PESITM, and Ms. Vandana Shetty, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, PESITM.
