🎓𝐏𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐌 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐂 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐖𝐂𝐍 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩

PES Institute of Technology and Management, in collaboration with the Internet Society Bangalore Chapter, celebrated the Graduation Ceremony of the five-day Building Wireless Community Networks (BWCN) Bootcamp, held from July 13 to 17, 2026, at the PESITM campus.

The bootcamp focused on learning, collaboration, and creating social impact through wireless community networking.

A total of 50 participants from various academic institutions and industries completed the programme and received graduation certificates in recognition of completing the intensive training.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Marian Pletosu, Senior Manager – Global Training and e-Learning Partnerships, Internet Society (ISOC), said: "It is a huge privilege for me to be part of this event. The journey has been beautiful, and we have been working together with great enthusiasm. The activities were highly successful. This graduation day is unique because it brings together faculty members and trainers who will create a lasting impact on the younger generation."

The ceremony was presided over by Shri B. Y. Raghavendra, Hon'ble Member of Parliament and Chairman, PES Trust (R), Shivamogga. Addressing the gathering, he reaffirmed his commitment to the Digital India Mission and announced plans to initiate pilot community networking projects in six locations across his parliamentary constituency. He expressed his vision of providing reliable Internet connectivity from urban centres to the remotest villages and looked forward to working closely with the Internet Society to realize this mission.

The event was graced by several distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. Shobha Shankar, President, ISOC Bengaluru Chapter; Mr. Adarsh B. U., Vice President, ISOC Bengaluru Chapter; Smt. Samita Sarkar, Assistant General Manager, BSNL, Shivamogga Division; Dr. Nagaraja R, Registrar, PES Trust; Dr. Swamy D R, Principal, PESITM ; Dr Sekar R , Vice Principal, PESITM, and Dr. Vishnu V. M., Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Convener of the Bootcamp.

The event concluded with vibrant cultural performances. This marks another significant milestone in PESITM's commitment to promoting digital literacy, community networking, innovation, and industry-oriented technical education, while strengthening collaborations with international organizations such as the Internet Society.
