We inaugurated "Shishyopanayana," welcoming the 20th Batch of Engineering Students on 24th September 2026 at Prerana Convention Hall.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. C M Patil, Chief Executive Officer, Krishikalpa & Director, Anvesana TBI, Startup Ecosystem Contributor and Committee Member at FICCI for Startups; Smt. Arunadevi S Y, Trustee, PES Trust & Director, Jan Shikshan Sansthan; Dr. Nagaraja R, Registrar, PES Trust;  Dr. Swamy D R, Principal, PESITM; Dr. Aveesh S T, First Year Coordinator & HOD, Mathematics, PESITM.

A New Chapter Begins at PES Institute of Technology and Management, Shivamogga!

On this special occasion, PES Institute of Technology and Management, Shivamogga announced a significant milestone—it is now Autonomous, marking the beginning of a new chapter in its academic journey.

Smt. Arunadevi S Y, Trustee, PES Trust & Director, Jan Shikshan Sansthan, encouraged students to create lifelong memories, prioritise fitness and health, embrace AI technology to develop solutions, and take ownership of their future.

She added, “You all have to be the heroes and heroines of your own future. Wishing you all the very best and making us proud. We are looking forward to developing this institution into an independent university.”

Mr. C M Patil, Chief Executive Officer, Krishikalpa & Director, Anvesana TBI, Startup Ecosystem Contributor and Committee Member at FICCI for Startups, shared insights from his journey as an engineering student and entrepreneur. He encouraged students to remain curious, embrace new technologies, set their own goals and continuously explore new opportunities.

He added, “Engineering is all about learning something new. You need to be curious, awake and live in the present. When you take up something you don't know, you learn, grow and ultimately flourish on a new platform.”

Dr. Nagaraja R, Registrar, PES Trust, spoke about the journey of Prerana Educational Social Trust and its commitment to providing equal opportunities for students. He highlighted the institution’s industry collaborations, internships and placement opportunities.

He added, “PESITM offers a robust academic environment. We are autonomous now, and within four years we will be fully autonomous. As promised by our management, we will be deemed Prerana University.”

Dr Swamy D R, Principal, PESITM, highlighted the institution’s focus on AI-driven processes, industry connect and entrepreneurship initiatives.

He added, "An AI Task Force has been initiated in all our processes. We have various programs to empower our students. Please make use of this vibrant ecosystem; we have industry connections and entrepreneurship at our campus. You should promise to learn with discipline and curiosity.”
