The Department of Mechanical Engineering, PESITM, Shivamogga, in association with the Institution's Innovation Council, celebrated the National Youth Day on 12th January 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.The event was inaugurated by Dr.Swamy D R, Principal, PESITM,  Dr. R Sekar, Vice Principal, PESITM,  and Dr. N Praveen Chandra, Assistant Professor, Department of Kannada, PESIAMS.Dr. N. Praveen Chandra, Assistant Professor, Department of Kannada, PESIAMS, Chief Guest, delivered an inspiring talk on the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy in today’s society.The highlight of the event was the ”Youth Talk Public Speaking Competition” contest for MBA & MCA students on the theme “Viksit Bharat @2047(Developed India @2047), 18 students actively participated in the contest by presenting their insightful views on the topics of Aatmannirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, Vocal for Local, and Samriddh Bharath.The program witnessed an active participation of over 200 students across engineering, MBA, and MCA programs.
