The Women Empowerment Cell and the Department of Civil Engineering, PESITM, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), celebrated International Women’s Day on the theme “Give to Gain” on 17th March 2026.

The event brought together 6th-semester female students and women faculty members, celebrating the spirit of empowerment, unity, and growth.

Dr. Swamy D R, Principal, PESITM, shared, “Women have always contributed to the development of others.”

 Chief Guest: Mrs. Niranjani Ravindra, Founder & President, Grow Green Association (R), Shivamogga SIWAA Awardee

She inspired the audience with powerful thoughts:

 “If women don’t support each other, who will?”

“Like butterflies, we must break out of our cocoon and transform.”

Her message encouraged students to become entrepreneurs, create opportunities for others, and focus on financial independence and career orientation.
