Student Development Program-Embedded System Design

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, PESITM, conducted a three-day Student Development Program (SDP) on “Embedded System Design – An Industry Perspective” from 20th to 22nd August 2026 in hybrid mode for 90 students of 7th Semester B.E. ECE.


The Resource Person was  Er. Sudheer Kotreshappa, Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Wabtec, Brisbane, Australia


The program offered valuable industry-oriented insights and hands-on exposure to Embedded Systems, Git & Version Control, FreeRTOS, task scheduling, inter-task communication, synchronization, and real-time embedded application development.


Through practical sessions using Git, VS Code and FreeRTOS, students strengthened their technical skills and gained a deeper understanding of real-world embedded system development and industry practices.
